The Kickstarter grants are specifically targeted at early intervention initiatives that target young people displaying anti-social and early criminal behaviours and deliver holistic responses that address factors that may lead to offending, and support their re-engagement in pro-social activities (including education, training or employment).
We understand the effort and time that goes into preparing a grant application, and we want to ensure your proposal aligns with the Kickstarter grant objectives to maximise your chances of success.
Your proposal must:
- intervene early with young people who are displaying anti-social and early criminal behavious to get them back on track and improve community safety
- use effective approaches to engage young people and their families, encouraging active participation.
- deliver holistic responses to the range of risks and needs shown by young people.
- be culturally appropriate and include evidence of community support or partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and/or culturally and linguistically diverse peoples and communities.
- Run for at least 12 months.
- Provide evidence of how the program will reduce anti-social behaviour, youth crime and improve community safety.
If your proposal includes all of the above we encourage you to submit an application, if it does not you can find information about other potential funding and grants online. Find a grant or assistance in Queensland (services.qld.gov.au).
